Customer Success Presentation:  Data Services Improves KPI Reporting in Healthcare

Catholic Health East, a large northeast Healthcare organization, will be joining us to talk about their current Data Integration project.  Kristen Pavlick, Director Revenue Management and Jamie Wilson, KPI System Administrator worked closely with CNE’s Data Integration specialist, Jim McIlvaine.  The business problem to be solved was responding to a directive from senior leadership.  Key Performance Indicators have been delivered and reviewed by executives for years at Catholic Health East.  The directive asked that the current data consolidation process be improved to provide even greater confidence in the KPI numbers being reported.

Partnering with CNE, Jamie Wilson attended CNE’s Data Services training in our King of Prussia Education Center and determined that BusinessObjects Data Services had the ability to replace substantial quantities of SQL Code with self-documenting and efficient workflows.  Along the way Jamie and Jim developed a collaborative approach as they resolved many previously unknown data issues while migrating the data acceptance and staging to a trusted process.

During our live event, CNE will lead off with a discussion of what Data Services are, how they are integrated into the Business Intelligence platform of Business Objects, and the nature of business needs that are supported by Data Services.  Kristen Pavlick will discuss the business issues affected by data consolidation and reporting.  She will describe the benefits sought and how she and Jamie worked with CNE to bring those to reality.  Jamie Wilson and Jim McIlvaine will describe the process they developed for documenting, spec-writing, developing, and troubleshooting DI workflows to support the business goal.
