This one-hour eLearning course is designed to give learners an overview of the major themes and functionality improvements for BusinessObjects™ Universe Designer XI 3.0.

The business benefit of this course is that learners will gain familiarity with new features available in BusinessObjects™ Universe Designer, as well as with two new applications, Universal Translation Manager and the Universe Connection tool.

• Describe the purpose and benefits of using Universal Translation Manager to translate universe metadata
• Describe the workflow involved in translating universe metadata

• Describe the purpose and benefits of using the new nested derived table feature in
  Universe Designer

• Describe the purpose and benefits of be able to use existing stored procedures to create universes.

• Describe the purpose and benefits of using the new Universe Connection tool to easily redefine universe connections when a universe is deployed at the customer site

To be successful, learners who attend this course should have experience using BusinessObjects™ Universe Designer XI R2, or should have completed the following offering:

• BusinessObjects™ XI R2: Universe Design

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Learners who attend this course should have experience using BusinessObjects™ Universe Designer and understand the basics of creating universes.
